Challenge
The fear of enduring withdrawal symptoms alone is a major psychological barrier for individuals attempting to overcome opioid addiction. The isolation and uncertainty surrounding the process can discourage users from beginning recovery at all.
Approach
Designed a supportive withdrawal kit intended to reduce feelings of isolation and increase emotional preparedness during early recovery.
The system combined practical tools with guided messaging and structured touchpoints, reframing withdrawal as a supported process rather than a solitary event. The goal was not to replace medical care, but to complement it by addressing the emotional and experiential gaps often overlooked in treatment.
Impact
Positions design as a tool for behavioral support — demonstrating how thoughtful systems and communication can reduce friction at critical moments of change.
Bonus: The concept was shared directly with the Chief Creative Officer at Havas, which led to an internship opportunity — reinforcing the strength of the idea and initiative behind it.
